Main Rituals(Pooja Vidhi) of Ganesh Chaturthi

- Preparation and Purification: Clean the house and puja area thoroughly. Decorate with flowers and rangoli. Set up the Ganesh idol on a clean, elevated platform facing east or north.
- Sankalp (Resolution): Take a vow to perform the puja with devotion and purity, seeking Lord Ganesha’s blessings.

- Do not use tobacco, alcohol, or any tamasic items in the puja area. Avoid alcohol, non-vegetarian food, and tamasic foods (onion, garlic).
- Avoid placing the idol near bathrooms or kitchens, which are considered impure spaces.
- Do not use tulsi leaves in Ganesh puja as per tradition; use durva grass instead.
- Avoid bringing broken or damaged idols for worship as it is considered inauspicious
